My Etsy Store is closing – Closeout Sale Announcement!
I’ve thought about this decision for a while and voiced it to some of my author friends. I’ve decided to close my Etsy store, Handsewn by #WDG.
I love crafting and DIY, but lately, I haven’t done many projects and definitely none for sale. With my one-of-a-kind items, I’d have to constantly update my store, and the time and effort to do so isn’t worth it in the long run.
New Endeavor: Publishing Books
As most of you know, in addition to my day job in marketing support and my part time job as a college instructor, I have a writing/publishing business. I write romance and romantic women’s fiction, and as of July 25, 2023, I’ve published my first novel length work, The Accidental Swipe. This has been a tremendous endeavor but an exciting one.
It’s also showed me that while I love to craft and do DIY projects, it is more of a hobby for me right now. With publishing The Accidental Swipe, I am now in the business of writing, and I need to focus my business energy there.
Still doing projects; still blogging and posting about them
So, while #WeekendDIYGirl will be closing out our Etsy store, I will still feature projects I’m working on on my site, and I’ll be posting on my social media sites. Join in our DIY and crafting project conversations here or on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok.

we’ll have a sale!
The sale will be October 29, 2023 until November 28, 2023 and will be HALF OFF everything in the store.
